Sure, finding the perfect apartment is everyone’s goal. But what good is a beautiful residence if there’s nothing for you to do in the area? Thankfully, that’s not the case at the Residences at Harlan Flats. When you choose one of our beautiful homes, you’ll find that there are many options for entertainment near these Wilmington apartments.

No matter what it is that you seek out in order to while away the evening hours, you can find it nearby. We’ll share some of our favorites to help get you started; but then it’s up to you to explore your new, exciting neighborhood for even more.

Penn Cinema

While this is the place to visit for the latest blockbusters to hit the big screen, it isn’t your normal movie theater. Sure, you can order up a classic bag of popcorn, but if you want something more substantial, you can actually order full meals to fill up before settling in for your movie. There are even beers on tap if you want to enjoy a pre-show libation. Inside the theater, you’ll find plush, leather rocker seats with personal armrests — no more sharing with some unknown stranger! — and plenty of space in between to alleviate any feeling of claustrophobia.

The Playhouse on Rodney Square (Formerly Dupont Theatre)

Head to this classic theater for all forms of official Broadway touring shows. The venue is a Victorian theater that dates back to 1913. Inside are more than 1,200 seats lining the floor and balcony of a rather understated theater; it’s big statement pieces of decor are two giant chandeliers dangling from the ceiling. If you have little ones and want to introduce them to the theater, take advantage of the Children’s Series, a collection of shows put on especially for budding thespians and patrons of the arts.

The Queen

This intimate venue has been servicing the local community since the early 1800s. It began as a hotel, then served as a movie theater and, after being dormant for more than 50 years, it finally reopened into its current iteration in 2011. In the lobby, you’ll find a quaint cafe that serves up pre-show snacks and sandwiches. On stage are an assortment of rotating musical performances covering all ranges of genres. But perhaps the event that The Queen may be best known for is the weekly Drag Diva Brunch; each Sunday you can enjoy a midday breakfast as you watch the hilarious antics of a group of unpredictable drag queens.

When you make the decision to move to the Residences of Harlan Flats, you can be guaranteed to find plenty of entertainment near these Wilmington apartments. The best part is: You don’t even have to look very far to find it.
